Mo's mentorship journey.

Scaling his six-figure business to new heights.

Mo's entry into filmmaking wasn't a straightforward path. After college, he found himself volunteering to make videos for his local church just for fun. "That's where that first spark hit me, and I realized this could be something more than just a hobby," he recalled.

The turning point for Mo' though was when he met Alex,  who saw potential in him. "Around 2010, my boss, said, 'I want to take the next ten years and help you be the best filmmaker you can possibly be.' That conversation changed everything for me," Mo shared. Alex's commitment to be his mentor had a profound impact, as he guided Mo through regular meetups, feedback sessions, and coffee chats, shaping Mo's skills and confidence in filmmaking.

This led to Mo branching out on his own, creating a production company that not only allowed him to tell the type of impact stories he loved to tell but at the budgets that could help grow the business and gradually add more crew members. But he knew something was still missing.

He continually hit a price barrier with clients and, as a result, he was undercharged for projects.

He also wanted to pursue more leadership and mentorship opportunities, but the stream of work at lower prices didn’t allow much time.

With the drive and consistent pursuit of refining his own skills, he joined our mentorship program. He went in expecting some helpful tips, maybe ways to level up his storytelling and cinematography.

But what came next, he never expected.

During the first week, Mo took part in a comprehensive Vision Setting and audit of his processes. This was a deep dive into how he did everything from presales to post-production.

The experience and feedback blew him away.

This huge shift in perspective from the assessment, initial action items and his first live webinar to take part in role-playing all occurred in the first few weeks of his mentorship.

Mo has months ahead of him left in the program and these few experiences have already led to more productive conversations with clients and better project outcomes.

He's had three conversations with clients that shifted the question from “How much does this cost?” to “How much money should we set aside for you so we can create this?”.

Looking ahead, Mo envisions a future where he continues to grow as a filmmaker and mentor. "I want to have a studio with a staff and host regular gatherings for filmmakers, helping mentor people into this process," he says passionately.

Within the first 30 days of joining the mentorship, Mo had already refreshed his brand, gained incredible clarity on his direction, and has a vision that deeply inspires him. He's managing client sales calls in a totally new way and, as a result, is breaking through the price barrier that seemed impossible before.
